StreetStock, you might want to read my article " FOX SPORTS 2 CHANNEL ON COMCAST - A TRAVESTY " in Buckshot's Corner.

Every market area have their unique mix of what is available vs not, you comments of loosing "SPEED" is a surprise to me.

Here in the mid Atlantic, we lost SPEED in total when Fox brought out FS1 & FS2. What was defined as SPEED is now called VELOCITY Channel. VELOCITY is primarily a Motor Sports but it is not the old SPEED Channel, by a long shot. In Va., as throughout most of the major broadcast markets, FS1 is available ( extra cost Sports Package, but available) through Comcast or AT&T or virtually all cable services. But, as I addressed in my article, FS2 was pushed down both Comcast and AT&T throat initially for extra cost above the Sports Package cost and both balked. From that, Fox signed exclusive contracts for all major markets with Satellite TV (both Dish & DirecTV).

Point is, now neither Comcast nor AT&T can broadcast FS2 with the exception of a small markets. Comcast now broadcast FS1 to 85 Million residence across the USA, FS2 to 35 Million. That's a difference of 50 million which IMO is huge. Also, when AT&T purchased DISH, I thought that would give AT&T a back door in to FS2 but apparently that is not the case as my research says AT&T customers continue without access to FS2. It is what it is and we are stuck, stuck stuck...

MY biggest grip in all of this is that Brian France knew about this and also he knows about "TRADE AIR TIME" yet he has done nothing to preclude Fox from showing NASCAR product on FS2....IMO this tactic on Frances part speakes to a hidden agenda we have yet to comprehend from King France, yet no one in NSACAR Media will speak to this elephant in the room and that makes me suspect to the integrity of NASCAR Media .

On twitter, after a few exchanges back an forth, I have tried to engage several Media people addressing this subject yet when I so, silence is returned.... kinda strange IMO...just saying.....

Hey Buckshot,,,, I moved the conversation here,,,,

I have Shaw Direct satalite, I think it's equivilent to Direct TV but the Canadian version. There was no warning that it was going away, and they still haven't said anything. Others I talk to here are in the dark also.

I think they wanted to do this quietly and the more I think about it, they might be right IF they are in negotiations. The tactic could be that if no one complains about it gone or even notices it gone, they could get it a a very good rate. Probably just wishful thinking on my part.

I have to think in time you will be OK.  You may not get the same channels but perhaps substitutes such as Velocity, FS1  & if your lucky and FS2 but as with anything FOX,  it will cost.

I cannot comprehend your service provider would not at some point make this known to thier customers base and from there you will have to choose  your new  service features, or "reWrap" of you old service with a different name, at a higher cost......

Boy, did I ever have a long day. :(

It rained 7" here within a 18 hour period here in Louisville Ky., stalled out line of thunderstorms dumped torrents and lightning strikes here all night long, massive flooding and lots of property damage/loss.

My job deals directly with that, was a super mess for me today. I'm worn the slap out, felt like fighting a war.

Couple that with the largest fire this morning ever in my city's history when GE appliance park building 6 burned to the ground. The smoke went directly over my house even though I'm 10-12 miles away as the crow flies, made it look light it was night at 9AM.

I used to be a service and parts supplier at my old job to GE as one of our many customers, been in that building a hundred times or more. I have several generations of family members and friends who have worked and retired from there.

Odd, the pResident was here yesterday, then this happens?

Youtube has dozens of videos on this.

April 3rd was also a bad day here in 1974, which was a Wednesday. The deadliest tornado of all hit here that day.

I was 11 years old at that time, watched it from the front yard, struck the schools that me and my brothers were at just 12 minutes before.

The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away.
